Man Killed During Local Festival In Ogun

A middle aged man has been confirmed dead at Ijaye area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, South West Nigeria.

The incident was said to have occurred when the yearly Egungun Festival was being celebrated in that area and some miscreants shot into the air sporadically hitting the victim in the process.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi said the celebration has been suspended across the state as and suspects including the masquerade have been arrested in connection with the incident.

And to forestall a reprisal, men and officers of the Nigeria Police have been deployed to the area to maintain the peace, as a building allegedly belonging to the masquerade was set ablaze by an irate mob.

Rick Ross crashes Rolls Royce into building after shoot out

American rapper Rick Ross smashed his Rolls-Royce into an apartment building in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida early this morning while attempting to flee from a drive-by shooting. TMZ is reporting he was the intended target.

According to reports, around 5am Rick Ross and a female companion were leaving a party on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale when a car pulled up along side Rick's dark colored Rolls and opened fire.

Rick swerved to avoid being hit and crashed into an apartment building at SE 15 Avenue.

Neither Rick nor his passenger were hit. Security cameras at a building across the street from the crash were rolling during the incident and cops are hoping the footage will either reveal the identity of the shooter or at least show the vehicle.

Berlusconi Slams Balotelli

                                                                    Balotelli has been linked with a move to Milan as a possible replacement for the already-departed Pato and Robinho, who is expected to leave during the current transfer window, but Berlusconi has ruled the move out.

The Rossoneri president said: "The name of Balotelli never came into my thoughts, he is a rotten apple and could infect every group where he goes, even Milan.

"I'm sorry to say this, but in Milan is very important to the human aspect. If you put a rotten apple in the locker room can infect all the others."

Italy international Balotelli has been out of favour at the Etihad following his lacklustre display in the Manchester derby against Manchester United and was recently pictured confronting manager Roberto Mancini during a training session.
