Accident At Unizik Temp Site Awka Kills Some Students Writing UTME.

This happened yesterday 26th April, 2013 in the afternoon. A tanker carrying deisel oil brakes failed, moved into the small motor park beside the cross over at unizik temporary site and killed more than a dozen souls, most of them are students going for saturday's Jamb UTME.

Governor Okorocha leaves UK hospital for Israel

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has left London where he was receiving medical treatment for Israel, according to Sunday Punch. Okorocha’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Ebere Uzoukwa, confirmed that the governor has left London, where he went for treatment following the April 19th car accident on Orlu-Owerri Road, in Imo State. A Mercedes Benz 200 ran into the governor’s convoy and had a collision with his own car. The governor sustained a minor cut on his scalp. He is believed to be in Israel for a second round of examination.

Explosions rock Boston Marathon; several injured

Two large explosions rocked an area near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday, injuring at least six people and spewing wreckage in its wake.

Smoke billowed into the air at Copley Square, turning a site of celebration into a mess of destruction.

Crowds had gathered in the area to watch the runners.

At least four people were being treated at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Community Service For Tevez

Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has been sentenced to 250 hours of community service after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

The 29-year-old, who appeared before Macclesfield Magistrates' Court on Wednesday morning and spoke through an interpreter, was also handed a fresh six-month driving ban and a £1,000 fine.

Tevez had initially been banned from the road for six months in January after admitting two counts of failing to provide information relating to incidents where his car was clocked speeding.

He was then stopped on 7 March following an anonymous tip-off to police.
