Business came to a standstill along Six Avenue Extension in Bulawayo when people rushed to catch a glimpse of a naked woman.

This incident occurred last Monday afternoon. A witness who spoke to our news crew said Nomathemba Ndlovu was stripped naked by hwindis who were accusing her of wearing a short dress.

"Ndlovu was coming from the city centre on her way to Egodini terminus when she was attacked by the touts who operate along Sixth Avenue Extension. Before they stripped her they accused her of putting on a short dress that was only covering THE ESSENTIAL PRIVATE PARTS," said the source.

Our news crew is reliably informed that the hwindis started whistling to gain people's attention before they started tearing the short dress. "Ndlovu tried to get into shops that are nearby but it was too late as the touts managed to catch her," added the source.

It is reported that before the attack some touts accused Ndlovu of fuelling prostitution by wearing such outfits. The source alleged that soon after the attack Ndlovu was ordered to walk around the city wearing a bra top and underwear "as her mission was to walk around naked".

Said the source: "The young lady was forced to walk naked for more than 100 metres before she got a wrapping cloth from a Good Samaritan who operates in that area."

Such cases of attacking women wearing tight clothes or mini skirts are however, more popular in Harare at places like Copacabana Rank, Fourth Street Rank and Charge Office Rank.
